Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you can usually cancel a contract with us within 14 days without giving a reason. This page explains how, and includes a form you can use.
This applies if you are a consumer and you made the contract with us away from our business premises — for example at your home, on your quotation page, by email or by telephone.
Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract — the day you accepted our quotation — or, if the work includes materials we supply, after 14 days from the day on which the last of those materials is delivered to your property, whichever is later.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us — Cityline Roofing Expert Ltd, 4 Collingham Road, London SW5 0LT; telephone 0203 490 8265; email [email protected] — of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail).
You may use the model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been performed until you have communicated to us your cancellation from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Starting work within the cancellation period
We will not start work during the cancellation period unless you ask us to — by ticking the box when you accept a quotation online, or by asking us in writing. If you ask in writing, please say that you understand that if you cancel after the work has started you must pay for the work done until you tell us, and that you will lose your right to cancel once the work is completely finished. If you ask us to start and the work is then completely finished within the cancellation period, you will no longer be able to cancel.
Urgent repairs
If you asked us to visit to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance, there is no right to cancel that urgent work, or the replacement parts we necessarily use in making the repairs. If, on that visit, we supply other services, or other goods, that you did not specifically ask for, you can cancel those.
This information also comes with every quotation, and is repeated in our email confirming that you have accepted one. Our terms of business explain your other rights.
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)
